CHAPTER TEN

Will

I open the gallery early, eager to get lost in the art and forget the world for a while. But all I can think about is Ava. Her scent still lingers on my clothes, her soft skin still burns against my fingertips, and her moans still echo in my ears. I'm hopelessly, madly in love with her, and I don't care who knows it.

As the morning wears on, I chat with patrons about the art on display, but my mind is elsewhere. I can't help but wonder when I'll see Ava again. Will she come to the gallery soon? Will she agree to see me again after last night?

I can’t help but worry. I just about tore scratches into her, affixed permanent bruises on her skin, all in my desperation to be inside of her.

Just as I'm lost in thought, a patron interrupts me, asking about the painting in front of us. I force myself to focus, studying the piece with a critical eye. But as soon as they leave, my mind wanders back to Ava.

I take a deep breath and try to push the thoughts away. I can't let my obsession consume me. But it's too late. Ava is like a drug to me, and I'm already addicted. I need her, and I'll do whatever it takes to keep her close.

As the day wears on, I continue to work, but my thoughts drift back to Ava with every spare moment. I'm a man possessed, but I can't help it. She's my muse, and I'll do anything to keep her by my side.

I can’t help but smile as I walk to the back during a lull in the gallery. I enter my dark room and breathe in the smell of chemicals as my latest set of photographs develop.

I stand in the dark room, surrounded by the smell of chemicals and the sound of water running. My hands shake as I shuffle through the negatives, searching for the perfect shot of her. My muse, my love, my everything.

As I lay the negatives on the light table, I can feel my heart pounding in my chest. I glance up at the clock on the wall, realizing that I've been lost in my own world for hours. But time doesn't matter when I'm here, working on my art, my obsession.

The images come to life before my eyes, and I can hardly believe what I see. Each shot captures her essence, her beauty, her passion. She's so much more than a subject, she's the embodiment of everything I've ever wanted.

I continue to develop the pictures, losing myself in the process. They are my best work yet, but it's not just about the technical skill. It's the way she looks at the canvas, lost in thought. It's the way she bites her lip in concentration, the way her hair falls in messy waves around her face.

I know that I'm obsessed, that I'm in too deep. But I can't help it. I need her, I need her art, I need everything about her.
